Podcast Episode Outline Template

Keep every episode structured and on time

Great podcast episodes feel conversational but are carefully structured. This template gives you a reusable outline: intro, segments, ad breaks, and outro. Use it as a teleprompter guide — not a word-for-word script — so you sound natural while staying on track.

Tips for this template

Use this as guardrails, not a script — podcasts sound best when conversational
Time-box each segment so you don't spend 40 minutes on segment 1 and rush the rest
Write your ad read word-for-word but keep everything else as bullet points
Record your cold open last — once you know the best moment from the episode
